I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, many of us flow through different times in our life where we find ourself needing… something. That is where I would like to become your guide. I offer science based holistic modalities with a Native American Twist.
🌿 Finding My Roots
My path deepened while studying Curanderismo at UNM. Curanderismo is holistic healing system that addresses the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical aspects of health, blending Indigenous traditions with Catholic, Sephardic, and African influences. Practitioners, known as curanderos or curanderas, use herbal remedies, spiritual cleansing, breathwork, and rituals to restore balance to a person's life and connection with their community.
The teachings felt natural and grounding — like standing barefoot at the shoreline. They spoke to me in a way that felt both simple and powerful.
Later, I took part in a local Sweat Lodge at Sun Moon Lodge in Lafayette, CO. After years of learning fire tending and water pouring, my community supported me on a vision quest. When I came down from the mountain, I was given a new name: Itzla — meaning the moon phases between the new and full moon. My full name translates as “the moon flower who greets others first.”
That transformation connected me deeply with life transitions coaching. I know how it feels to live between two worlds: trying to be “normal” while staying true to your spiritual side. That’s why I am drawn to people navigating change — whether divorce, retirement, new career, relationship shifts, or parenthood. Like the shoreline shifting with each wave, our lives are shaped by tides of change.
🌊 Science Meets Spirit
While spirituality grounds my work, I also value science. After years of practice, I became a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. The program emphasized evidence-based approaches to stress relief, grief, chronic illness, nutrition, and well-being.
I volunteered in hospice and supported individuals facing loss, finding that many clients experienced moments of peace through their personal holistic practices. Whether through color therapy, breathwork, nature, or other approaches, people often know what they need — they just need accountability and guidance to stay consistent. That’s where I come in, walking beside them like a steady current beneath the waves.
